BANGLADESH STEELS LIMITED

Bangladesh Steels Limited is based in Chittagong with focus on manufacturing of steel sections (re-rolling) for the construction industry. It produces 21 different sections including angles, channels, flat bars, Z bars, plain rods, deformed bars etc. It is also the first and only steel industry in Bangladesh to engage in manufacture & export of galvanized fencing bars to the North American market.

SAMAH RAZOR BLADES INDUSTRIES LIMITED

Samah Razor Blades Industries Limited was formed in 1962 to manufacture safety razor blades. It has been the only industry of its kind in the region & has gradually expanded its capacity to meet the growing demand of the region. This company continues to be an unchallenged market leader with its nationwide extensive marketing network. The Company is the market leader in both the carbon steel and stainless steel segments.

GMG INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION LIMITED

GMG Industrial Corporation Limited was established in the year 1958 as a Public Limited Company to carry out business of textile processing. At one time the largest one of its kind, GMG Industrial Corporation Limited is today a market leader in many of its product line which is equipped with continuous dyeing including dyeing with reactive colors, phthalogen blue dyeing, naphthol and vat dyeing as well as disperse dyeing and also direct printing and more complicated processes such as resist printing using dis-similar color regimen etc.

PALASH INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE LIMITED

This unit comprises of over 70 shuttle less weaving looms complete with aping & sizing facilities and was set up as a step towards backward integration as a feeder unit for GMG as well as to exploit the grey fabric market. Its production includes 100% cotton sheeting and twill fabric, polyester & cotton blended T/C fabric etc. This unit has also pioneered the manufacture & export of other textile related items such as shop towels etc.

MANAGEMENT

At the Apex of the Group is the Chairman Mr. Abdus Sattar 'Nini' who is an MBA from VUB in Belgium. He is a reputed businessman & industrialist of the country with over 20 years of experience behind him. He has to his credit many honors & awards for his dedicated devotion & contribution to the economy of the country. He is also a well known sports figure with many awards at national and international level. He is also a Professionally Qualified Commercial Pilot.

Mr. Shahab Sattar, an MBA from Wharton School in USA in which he stood in top 5 in Readers list, is the Managing Director.Mr. Shahab Sattar has an excellent academic background and stood first class first in M.Com. ( Hons) from Dhaka University with major in Accounting. Mr. Shahab Sattar is a well known & a very respected figure in the social circles and commands unmatched goodwill and credibility.Mr. Shahab Sattar also holds Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating since 1980 & an Executive Member of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Saleem Sattar a Systems Engineering Graduate from the University of California is a Director.

Mrs. V.A.Sattar, a qualified MBBS Doctor is also a Director of the Group.
